All across San Diego, a new type of family-friendly holiday event has popped up that has replaced the overly crowded and inconvenient neighborhood light show. Jingle Jets aboard the USS Midway is the latest addition to the holiday magic. Guests can stroll the flight deck and soak in the aircraft which are adorned in festive and twinkling light displays. Holiday music is piped in as snowflake projections dance across the ship. All sorts of holiday treats are available and even adult beverages for the grown-ups.
The good part is that there are no awkward moments of trying to find a bathroom, and there is plenty of hot chocolate if you get a bit chilly. There are spectacular nighttime views of the bay as well as the Downtown skyline and ticket sales are limited per night to ensure there are no crowds to deal with.
