March 07 – Myron McKinley / The Handlery Hotel, Mission Valley / Concerts.Cafe Presents
Acclaimed keyboardist Myron McKinley reimagines The Beatles on March 07 at The Handlery Hotel. Best known as a longtime member of funk and soul hitmakers, Earth, Wind & Fire, for this show McKinley and his band will be recasting the best of Lennon and McCartney, from “Eleanor Rigby” to “Come Together.”

March 09 – The Simon and Garfunkel Story / The Sound, Del Mar
A combination of tribute concert and multimedia career-spanning play, The Simon and Garfunkel Story comes to The Sound on March 09. The night’s set follows Paul Simon and Garfunkel’s string of hits from their early days as the duo, Tom and Jerry, through to their 1981 Central Park reunion show. The performers do a great job of replicating the original recordings, with changing backdrops and scenery adding to the magic. A bonus for fans: the show includes a handful of Simon’s solo hits.

March 23 – Rolando Street Fair / Rolando Boulevard, Rolando
The 27th Annual Rolando Street Fair takes place on March 23. A full day of fun in the sun, the free, all-ages, community-oriented event has a terrific lineup that includes Lady Dottie & The Diamonds, La Diabla, The Brothers Burn, and The La Mesa Arts Academy Jazz Band. Topping the bill will be one of the greatest bands to ever call San Diego home, The Beat Farmers. Still delivering great country-tinged rock ‘n’ roll after four decades, a set from this outstanding quintet is never less than a party.

March 25 – The Bacharach Songbook Live In Concert / The Sound, Del Mar
A touring tribute to one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Burt Bacharach, The Bacharach Songbook Live in Concert appears at The Sound on March 25. Featuring 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Todd Rundgren, singer Wendy Moten, and longtime Bacharach music director Rob Shirakbari, the night includes such song standards as “(They Long to Be) Close To You,” “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head,” “The Look of Love,” and “What The World Needs Now,” to name just a few.

March 27 – Slim Jim Phantom / The Pourhouse, Oceanside
Presented by Spar Customs Productions: Drummer Slim Jim Phantom of iconic rockabilly band, The Stray Cats, stops in at The Pourhouse with his trio on March 27. In his other band, Phantom sticks to the backing vocals, but here he takes lead on a set that’s a mix of Stray Cat hits and vintage rock ‘n’ roll classics from the likes of Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, and Rick Nelson.

March 29 – Poncho Sanchez / The Belly Up Tavern, Solana Beach
Prolific Grammy-winning Latin percussionist Poncho Sanchez performs at the Belly Up Tavern on March 29. 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of Sanchez’s start on his path to becoming a music legend, initially as a member of Cal Tjader’s band. His shows always have a rhythmic and soulful celebratory feel, but this night’s performance will be extra special, as it’s a release event for his latest album, Live at the Belly Up. Recorded on June 11, 2023, it follows Sanchez’s most recent studio album, Trane’s Delight.
