The upcoming 30th Anniversary Edition of The Smashing Pumpkins album, Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness, includes three bonus live tracks recorded at SOMA on January 30, 1996: “Geek U.S.A.” “X.Y.U.” and “Cupid De Locke.” The show was part of a two-night stand for the band, which bodes well for the possibility of additional tracks from the show being released in the future. Available as super deluxe 6 LP or 4 CD editions, the album will be released on November 21.
In related news, the Smashing Pumpkins are amongst the artists who have teamed up with GAS Trading Cards to release a series of collectable tour related cards. Each card features the poster art from a show on the related tour, with the night’s set list on the reverse.
