The 35th annual San Diego Music Awards will take place on Tuesday, April 29, at Humphreys by the Bay. Nominees and performers will be announced at www.sandiegomusicawards.com.

Acoustic Evenings Concert Series

The Acoustic Evenings concert series at the Athenaeum, helmed by Jefferson Jay, will kick off its next edition on May 16, running Friday evenings through June 6. Artists set to take part include Cindy Lee Berryhill, Gayle Skidmore, Tim Flannery, and Ashley Norton, with June 6 set to be a Tribute to Jamie Shadowlight.

Borrego Springs Music Festival

The Borrego Springs Music Festival will take place on March 21 – 23, with performers set to include Farm Truck, Whiskey & Burlap, Street Legal, Haywire, and many more. Visit www.borregospringsmusicfestival.org for more details.

Kristina Bennett Wins at the World Entertainment Awards

Congrats to Pacific Records recording artist, Kristina Bennett, whose album Shakti took home the trophy in the category of Best Global Traditional Album at the World Entertainment Awards, held on February 2 at The Crypto.com Arena (formerly the Staples Center) in Los Angeles. The album also debuted on the iTunes New Age Chart at #1, her second album in a row to do so.

AJ Croce’s New Merch Logo by Ruby Mazur

Famed artist Ruby Mazur is designing a new merchandising logo for AJ Croce.

John Mayall’s 30-Disc Box Set

Legendary blues guitarist John Mayall has a new 30-disc box set, The Second Generation: Live Magic 1968 – 1993, out via Madfish Records. Notably, disc #17 is a twelve-song concert recorded at The Belly Up Tavern on April 5, 1984.

M3 Music Festival Lineup

The 3-day M3 Music Festival, taking place on May 2 – May 4 in Columbia, MO, features headliners Sebastian Bach and David Lee Roth, with the event’s third night headlined by Pearcy & DeMartini, aka Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini, performing the songs of their former band, Ratt.

Slightly Stoopid’s Summer Tour

Reggae favorites, Slightly Stoopid, head out on the Step Into The Sun summer tour starting on June 12 in Pittsburgh, PA, wrapping up on August 17, location TBA. Opening the shows will be Iration and Little Stranger.

The Tell-Tale Hearts’ Vinyl Compilation

Iconic 1980s-era garage rockers, The Tell-Tale Hearts, have a new 2-disc vinyl compilation, Nevermore: The Definitive Anthology, out soon via Italy’s Teen Sound Records. “It’ll include the original (superior) mix of the band’s legendary first album plus a great selection of the band’s very best, rare, and unreleased tracks,” the label said in a statement.
