Poway founded pop punk trio, Blink-182’s single, “Bored to Death,” has earned a Silver disc from the U.K.’s BPI. It’s the band’s fourth certification in the U.K. this year, following their album, Neighborhoods (Gold) on August 16, and the singles, “I Miss You” (2X Platinum) on May 31, and “All The Small Things” (3X Platinum), on January 12.
Additionally, this month the group reissues their most recent album, slightly updating the title to, One More Time… Part-2. The original 17-track edition entered the chart at #1 in October 2023, this updated edition adds ten new songs, including latest single, “All In My Head.” The initial release will be on CD and digital formats, then in December, vinyl collectors will have two options to choose from: The complete version of One More Time… Part 2, on two blue discs, or a “red rocket” vinyl edition of the album, a single disc affair which features only the previously unreleased tracks. Amongst the new merch being issued to promote the album is a set of four baseball styled trading cards.
Meanwhile, Blink-182 still have a few festival dates before years end, including the South Star Music Festival in Huntsville, Alabama on September 29, and the Austin City Limits Festival on October 4 & 11, wrapping up 2024’s touring at Foro Sol in Mexico City on November 9. In further Blink-182 news, bassist Mark Hoppus has penned (with Dan Ozzi) a memoir: Fahrenheit-182. The book will be out via HarperCollins on April 8, 2025.
