Temaki’s Merry Maki Menu Returns!

Temaki in Encinitas will offer its popular Merry Maki menu once again this holiday season. The menu, featuring exclusive hand rolls, cut rolls, beverages and more, will be available from Sunday, Dec. 1, through Tuesday, Dec. 31.

The Merry Maki menu will feature “Brussels All the Way!,” an appetizer dish of fried Brussels sprouts, sweet chili and furikake, priced at $12; The Bomb Squad, a signature hand roll crafted with cedar-smoked Skye Steelhead trout, honey mustard miso, bubu arare and pickled jalapeños, priced at $13; and the signature cut roll, Turboman, filled with krab, tempura, shishito and avocado nad topped with yellowfin tuna, spicy mayo, brûléed yuzu kosho, tempura crunchies and finadene, priced at $23.

The menu’s holiday nigiri options include yellowfin with yuzu kosho aioli, serrano and togarashi; salmon with brown butter aioli, sweet soy and smoked salt; and hamachi with black garlic ponzu, lime and chive, each priced at $12. Beverage specials for the month includea 375-milliliter bottle of Soonhari Apple Mango Soju, priced at $16; Santa’s Little Helper, a 16-ounce imperial stout from Port Brewing Company, priced at $9; and Sierra Nevada’s Celebration IPA, an eight-ounce fresh hop IPA, priced at $6. 

Awarded Best of North County 2024 for sushi restaurant and seafood restaurant, Temaki Bar takes the art of traditional sushi-making to the highest level using only freshly caught, sustainable seafood and locally sourced seasonal ingredients.
