Tickets are now on sale for Rebecca Jade & Friends: A Soulful Holiday, a musical celebration of the season taking place on December 28 at Sycuan Casino’s Live & Up Close Theater. Jade will perform selections invoking wintertime traditions, including songs from her most recent release, Just Another Christmas Album. Making the event extra special, she will be joined by her musical friends: Angela Chatelain, Joshua Taylor, Daryl Walker, and Daneen Wilburn.
Jade is a powerhouse performer whose vocal range and stage presence have made her one of the brightest rising stars touring the world today. At home with singing soul, R&B, jazz, blues, or whatever a session might need, her stellar career highlights include:
- Winning eight San Diego Music Awards
- Performing with Elton John at the Oscars
- A Grammy Salute to Prince
- Recording with artists such as Jason Mraz and Karl Denson
A Homegrown Celebration
The concert will cap another amazing year for Jade, which has seen her tour Greece with Dave Koz & Friends and perform at major events worldwide, from Portugal’s Algarve Smooth Jazz Festival to collaborations with Sheila E. and Gloria Estefan.
Jade curated this show’s selection of musical friends herself. “I wanted to highlight San Diego artists,” she explained. “I felt, especially given the occasion of the season, that a homegrown show like this would be a great way to shine a spotlight on these gifted performers.”
Expect special collaborations throughout the night, as Jade brings together this group of talented musicians for an unforgettable holiday experience.
A Festive First
“This is the first time I’ve put on a holiday concert event,” Jade said. “I picked the date on purpose. December 28 falls in that wonderful time between when we open our presents and the New Year, when everybody’s spirits are up. This concert will hopefully capture some of that feeling.”
