Long running Grateful Dead tribute group, Electric Waste Band is heading to Arizona over Memorial Day weekend to play The Grateful Festival, which takes place on May 22, 23 & 24, 2026 at the Fort Tuthill Fairgrounds in Flagstaff. The band headlines with a full show on Friday night, following up the next night by playing just before Cubensis. “I like going on the adventure to the out-of-town show and getting the opportunity to play to a bunch of folks and making new fans/friends,” said the band’s guitarist, Robert Harvey. Other groups performing at the fest include Brother Sound, Red Eye Gin and Easy Wind.
Electric Waste Band has a busy schedule this summer. They’ll be amongst the headliners of the Ocean Beach Street Fair on June 27 (3 p.m.) and they’ll be playing a series of Saturday night gigs at the Aquarius Bar & Grille through ‘til fall, with upcoming dates including May 16, June 20, July 25 and August 29. They also have a pair of Saturday night’s set for Winston’s: June 13, and August 1 for Jerry Garcia’s birthday.
Meanwhile, fans will be happy to note Electric Waste Band’s legendary Monday night residency at Winston’s continues, with the band playing to a packed house each week, kicking off at 8 p.m. While it’s always better to experience the music live, if you can’t make it to Winston’s for the band’s set there are two other ways to take in the shows.
