Gary Lee is putting on a DIY house party on March 22 at a private residence in Clairemont that is open to the public. The concert will feature performances from singer/songwriters Brianna Grace and Marelle each performing one-hour sets. All proceeds go to the artists and hors d’oeuvres and wine will be provided for ticketed guests. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a bottle of wine to share with the music lovers.
Gary Lee puts on these shows as his way of supporting our local music scene and has been producing these shows since 2023. Past shows include: Haley Blaze & The Wellsprings, Sara Jade & Jessie Lark, Stacy Antonel & The Beard & The Bird, and Jeff Berkley & Will Stucky.
“I find people who are willing to open their homes for these fun events,” said Lee. “I’m hoping to be able to do at least two shows a year there. In the past we’ve averaged around thirty people. March 22nd will be our fifth house concert since we started. I started doing these as a way to bring people together to enjoy music in an intimate setting. People come just to hear the music! The past few shows we had both artists collaborate with each other, which is something I look for when booking. Brianna Grace & Marelle have plans to do that as well!”
Brianna Grace
Brianna Grace is a San Diego-based dreamer, nature lover, and musician. Growing up in the suburbs of Boston, Brianna loved music and performance, participating in musicals and teaching herself guitar to accompany her singing. After attending business school and entering the corporate world, Brianna lost connection to her musical roots. After over a decade of not performing publicly, Brianna Grace has emerged as a powerhouse entertainer in Southern California and beyond, performing at iconic venues such as Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach and Music Box in downtown San Diego. Often compared to Alanis Morrissette, Stevie Nicks, and Jewel, Brianna has a unique yet nostalgic americana/rock sound.
Marelle
Marelle is a singer/songwriter based in San Diego, California. Drawing inspiration from jazz & soul legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles & Norah Jones, she blends this timeless genre with a modern touch, creating a soulful & captivating sound that is uniquely her own. Marelle’s musical versatility shines through her diverse repertoire and experience performing at a wide range of venues. From intimate weddings and upscale resorts to vibrant restaurants and exclusive private events, she has consistently delivered exceptional performances that leave a lasting impression on audiences.
